Poetries On Nature

A Bird’s Wish

In the realm of skies so high and free,
A little bird perched upon a tree,
It gazed below with a longing sigh,
And wished to be human, oh, so high.

To walk on two legs, to feel the ground,
To speak with words, a different sound,
To taste the flavors of human life,
The bird dreamt of this, amidst the strife.

It wished for hands to touch and hold,
To warm its heart in a world so bold,
To understand the secrets of the earth,
To experience human joy and mirth.

But as the bird gazed at the human race,
It saw both love and a frantic pace,
It realized that life, with its ups and downs,
Is a tapestry woven with smiles and frowns.

So, it spread its wings, took to the air,
Embracing the skies without a care,
For though it wished to be something new,
Being a bird in flight was a gift so true.

In its feathers and songs, it found its grace,
A life in the sky, an endless chase,
The bird learned that each life, unique and grand,
Is a gift to cherish and understand.
